Daddy Day Care (2003)

I seriously enjoyed this film. I think the plot is hilarious and I feel that Steve Carr and Geoff Rodkey phenomenally executed almost every aspect of the film. I think the choices for each of the three main characters was absolutely perfect. Eddie Murphy, Jeff Garlin and Steve Zahn all did a wonderful job with their respective characters. Zahn and Murphy don’t appear to be actors that might mesh incredibly well, however, the two of them, along with Garlin, were outstanding. This role differs immensely from the films that Murphy would have starred in early in his career, however, he was perfect in this film. I thought the children that they casted were just as much fun as the adults. The children they found to play in this film really were good actors considering their age. Both the adult and the child actors were funny and they kept me effortlessly engaged. I think my favorite part of the film was the music. David Newman and the rest of the music department chose a number of hits from the 1970’s and 1980’s and I feel that even though these songs, at first glance, may not have appeared to be the best fit for the film, they worked terrifically. The concept of the film is simple and the lessons one can learn from this film are simple as well. However, the film seriously delivers in a number of ways. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0317303/?ref_=nv_sr_1
