Dude, Where's My Car? (2000)

Danny Leiner successfully creates a world of sheer stupidity that manages to engross its viewers and provide them with nearly endless laughs. The combination of Sean William Scott (Chester Greenburg) and Ashton Kutcher (Jesse Montgomery III) to play two of the dumbest characters in cinema history was a stroke of genius for casting directors Richard Hicks and Ronnie Yeskel. The two have long been known for playing asinine characters in a number of films and television series with great success. They effectively embody two stoners who have regretfully lost the last twenty-four hours of their lives due to a binge drinking session. This film follows these characters on their unique and somehow riveting journey to uncovering the fun, the mistakes and the horror of the past night. Through a series of unlikely and nearly impossible events, Chester and Jesse find themselves in the company of twins, a gender-challenged male and then hot chicks with big boobs as they relive the insanity that was the night before. Through this odd series of events Scott and Kutcher regularly bring a smile to the face of the audience and have the viewers asking what hilariously stupid situation they will get themselves into next. Director Leiner never takes his foot off of the gas and leads the audience down a road of extreme comedy. From silly banter between Jesse and a chinese fooooooood lady to one of the most enjoyable musical numbers I’ve ever seen to the tune of Young MC’s “Bust A Move,” I can’t think of any point in which I was not enjoying myself while watching this film. While the film was successful due to its stupidity, Scott and Kutcher’s acting adds another dimension of enjoyment to the film that should attract viewers like the comedy. This film is perfect for anyone and everyone who is ready for a steady laugh session. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0242423/?ref_=nv_sr_1
