To start: the villain(s) in this film was/were much better than in the first. But, to be fair, it is Jamie Foxx (and Paul Giamatti) compared to Rhys Ifans (plus, I really enjoy Dane DeHaan as an actor). Overall, I felt that the story in this film was better than the story from the first. Also, the CGI in this film was far superior to the first film. Similar to the first, this was not as good as the majority of the MCU films but definitely worth a watch if you’re into superhero films. I think what would have come with the third film would have been absolutely incredible.
