As the very first film in Noblemen Studios production history, writer, director, editor and producer, Patrick Newell, introduces his audience to subtle humor, simple expression and a layered story. The film’s acting is fluid and Kevin Stone (Candy Eating/Doorbell Ringing Robber) stole the show. His subtle, yet purposeful, facial expressions demand attention, making him the perfect choice as Newell and Starkey’s partner-in-crime. In just a short time together, the three young actors feed off of one another as if they had worked together for years. Developing depth in film is certainly one of the more difficult aspects of film making and, yet, Newell finds ways to add depth in such a short amount of time. Intensity, humor and a hilariously relatable story round out what can only be referred to as a successful start to a young filmmaking career.
